My Story
Born in Saint Louis, Missouri, raised in Santa Fe, Texas and lived all over the globe. . . I have lived a full and rich life. No matter the job (from mortician to English teacher in France) I always found time to write. When I was in elementary school I won a writing contest and had the chance to ride in a helicopter with Santa!

My usual genre is horror but after my passion for misunderstood creatures lead me to the reptile hobby my children's book flowed. Growing up, i loved Verdi and Stellaluna by Janell Cannon, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile by Bernard Waber, and Bill & Pete by Tomie dePaola. Understandably, after getting my hognose, Sherbert it all clicked and made sense.

My favorite book of all time is Raptor Red by Robert T. Bakker.

My current projects are a collection of western horror shorts (due to be published October 2024), a raccoon who ate the rainbow, snake myths around the world, a children's book on how animals use camoflage and my weird history podcast, Absurd Archives (available on Spotify, RadioPublic and IHeartRadio)
